Show me those pearly whites!

The first week in May, at almost 2.5 years old marked Sayer's first trip to the dentist.

We chose Dr. Barry, a pediatric dentist, because my aunt worked for him as a hygienist for many years. The office was definitely set up to be kid friendly, with murals on the walls of exotic animals and a waiting room full of toys!

When we got to the back where the chairs were, Sayer got to pick out a toothbrush (he chose the Sally brush from Cars) and then had a seat in the dental chair to watch cartoons on his personal television. He thought that was pretty neat!

I wish I could say that the rest of the appointment went smooth, but he wasn't really a fan of having his teeth counted, brushed or having the fluoride treatment applied.

Hats off to the staff there, however... they were able to make the tears disappear when they gave Sayer a Scooby Doo balloon. Here's to hoping the next visit will be better!
