Last Minute Get Togethers with Best Friends on Warm Spring Nights

these are the days that I live for! On days like this, life doesn't get much better.

Happy 60th Dad!! Viva Las Vegas!

Where else would we celebrate a major milestone for Champ than in Vegas?? March 9, 2011 - Happy 60th Birthday! Surrounded by Family, Best of Friends and Lots of Fun!

What a fun filled day and night! Golf for the guys, Appetizers at Mom and Dad's Suite...

Dancing and Dinner at the Range...

A little 60th Birthday "razzing" at the Dueling Piano Bar...

And a little more dancing at one of my dad's favorites... Cleopatra's Barge...

We love you dad and are so happy that we were able to celebrate in Vegas with you!

The next few days were spent with friends laughing a lot, enjoying some adult time and relaxing sans kids!

The view from our hotel looking out onto the strip and Paris!

Beautiful flowers in our hotel...

Good times with lots of laughs...

In and Out Burger...

Mike didn't care for it very much...

Kelly and Sarah with the Storm Troopers for Jared and Emma...

Woody and I for Sayer...

Mike with Jesse for Sayer...

Disney's Toy Story on Ice!

I'm not sure if I mentioned it lately, but Sayer's most recent obsession is with Toy Story. He doesn't care if it's Toy Story 1, 2 or 3, as long as it has Buzz and Woody and lots of toys in it, he's good! I swear, in the months of February and March we probably watched all three of those movies at least 200 times!!

So, when Disney's Toy Story 3 on Ice came to Sprint Center we had to take Sayer to see it live.

Okay, so I swore walking into the place that I wasn't going to spend any money on souvenirs. I mean, we have all of the Toy Story dolls and movies and paraphernalia at home, so what else could we possibly need?

Well, apparently we needed a cowboy hat just like Woody. Those marketing people are smart... they send those vendors up and down the aisles and when your kid spots something that he wants, you feel guilted into buying it just so he doesn't have a meltdown before the show or during intermission. So, here it is... the $20 cowboy hat! I really didn't think that this thing would last a week in our house, but amazingly after two months it's still around and in pretty good shape!

Nothing beats a genuine smile? He had that look on his face almost the entire show! That made everything totally worth it! How I love to see my kiddo smile!

Families meet...

While we were visiting Jason and Heidi we had the opportunity to meet Heidi's mom, Deb and her sister and niece. Although I hadn't met Deb before in person, I felt like I already knew her so well! With facebook, the blog, e-mail and the internet we have had the opportunity to form a relationship without meeting face-to-face! However, being able to give her a hug and spend some quality time together shopping and talking was priceless!!

I know that our families are going to get along so well!! We had such a great girls weekend that weekend (and some great family time of an evening with my brother included). I look forward to seeing everyone again at the wedding! I know we are going to have a GREAT time!

Sneak Peak of what's to come...

this September when my brother and Heidi get married!!

Mom and I made a trip to Tennessee at the end of March to go wedding dress shopping with my brother's future wife. While we were there we were able to visit the site of their wedding and reception, historic Cedarwood!

What an amazing location! There are so many things about this place that make it extra special. It is romantic, historic and absolutely beautiful! I can hardly wait until their wedding weekend! This will definitely be a wedding to remember!!

By the way, she said Yes to a Dress, but I won't be posting any pictures of the dress shopping! That has to be a secret until September. I will tell you though, she is going to make an absolutely beautiful bride!

Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your shopping experience. We love you and can't wait for you to become an "official" part of our family, Heidi.

Look at those curls...

What can I say, I am a sucker for a baby with curls!

As Greyson's hair has come, these beautiful curly locks have developed! It reminds me so much of my dad's hair and I love it! Mike is on me to get it cut, but I refuse to until after his one year photos! I've got to enjoy those curls while I can!

Two cool dudes...

Sporting the sunglasses that Mimi picked up for both boys while we were in Vegas. I honestly can't believe that they actually leave them on! Amazing!

Welcoming March with all our friends... Happy 1st Birthday Stone

Birthday parties... so much fun! Celebrating with our best friends old and young.

At the beginning of March we helped celebrate Stone turning one! His mama is very creative and always has the best ideas. I think that this was her best one yet... personally created birthday invitations, owl cupcakes and matching applique shirts for her two little misters! I love that she loves birthday parties and the planning for them just as much as I do!

The other thing I love about birthday parties these days is the fact that all the kiddos love to be right in the middle of everything... the opening of the presents, the eating of the cake! We have a unique situation in that our closest friends all have kids around the same age. Our oldest being spread across a few months and our youngest being even closer in age! What fun and chaotic madness we have when we all get together. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Baby Stone getting ready to enjoy his first birthday cake with his mama, papa and big brother Slayton.

Happy Birthday Stone! Your first year was so much fun! Can't wait to watch you grow and celebrate many more birthdays to come. We love you buddy!!
