Enjoying a 60 degree day in February...

Finally, after months and months of extremely cold weather and record amounts of snow, we had an opportunity to get outside and enjoy 60 degree weather. The boys had so much fun outside! It's amazing what can change in just a few months... Sayer can grow enough that he can touch the pedals of his tricycle and Greyson can grow enough to sit on his own in the Cozy Coupe and the wagon. What fun we will have this spring and summer... I can hardly wait!

Sayer pushing Greyson in the Cozy Coupe and both having the time of their life!!

While the boys had fun, I am not so sure about Daddy! This was Mike's Christmas gift from me this year. To be quite honest, I hid it under the bed upstairs and in the excitement of the holiday and the kids gifts I completely forgot about it. I remembered a couple of weeks ago and we pulled it out on this day to try it out. With our boys being a little big for their age, I'm not sure that Daddy had a lot of fun bicycling 50+ lbs. around the neighborhood (especially up the hills). I loved it however, I trailed behind or in front of them on my own bike. I think that this will become a constant for us come spring and summer!

Ornery Little Boy!!

From Sayer's earliest months I knew that he was ornery. There was just no doubt that he was going to be all boy in his temperament and his actions. He was, and still is, constantly pushing boundaries, loves to rough-house and see how much he can get away with.

Greyson has had a different personality than Sayer from day 1. He is a much happier baby (no reflux issues), sweet, cuddly, smiley, loving and laid back. To myself I have thought that he will be my people pleaser, and not push any boundaries.

These days I am thinking... UH OH... I am in trouble!! This little boy is naughty. What do you think?

Fun with Uncle J

Last week we were lucky enough to spend a few days with Uncle J in town. I could not wait for him to see his nephews! It had only been since Christmas, but at this age, they change so quickly. He couldn't get over how much they had grown and changed in just two short months since he had seen them last!

Sayer and Uncle J had fun playing with Play Doh...

and playing lots and lots and lots of football... complete with tackling. Over and over and over again... Sayer would make Uncle J stand up so he could tackle him to the ground. I don't think Jason got much rest while he was here. Sayer had him playing non-stop.

Sayer has recently started saying his whole name and has started calling his brother Greyson Jon. While Jason was here he would say "Come on Jason Jon, Come Pay". We had to remind him that Jason's middle name was not Jon... it was pretty comical!

Sayer and Greyson spent a lot of time cuddling and just hanging out. Jason couldn't get over Greyson's rosey cheeks and long eye lashes!

We miss you already Uncle Jason Jon and can't wait to see you again soon!! We love you!!

Can't Help It... His Smile Melts My Heart

Happy Valentine's Day 2011

These are the best pics I could get of the boys in their Valentine's Day attire... not very impressive I know! That's what I get for taking a picture before school with Mickey Mouse Club House on the television!

The boys had lots of visitors Valentine's Day evening... MiMi came over to bring gifts from she and PePa and Aunt Karen, Ms. JoDe came by to drop off gifts, Aunt KiKi and Emma Grace came by and Grammy and Papa dropped by with gifts for the boys. My boys are loved (and spoiled a little rotten) by so many! Thank you everyone!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sayer's Valentine's Day Surprise...

Over the past month or so Sayer has become infactuated with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. Santa Claus brought Sayer a Buzz Lightyear for Christmas, so I thought what could be better for Sayer's Valentine's Day surprise than a Woody doll. So, the day before Valentine's Day I surprised him with his doll. Woody has been his best buddy every since then. He takes him everywhere!

One of the cutest things is that he takes Buzz and Woody to bed with him and Mike and I, on multiple occasions, have sat and listened to Sayer play with them - reciting lines from the movie. He loves to hold Buzz and say "To infinity and beyond"!

What could be better...

than your very first Valentine's Day party with all of your friends?

Some of my fondest memories as a child were those Valentine's Day parties... swapping Valentine's Day cards with my classmates and looking forward to the special Valentine that my parents had for me! So, when I had the opportunity to sign up to bring a treat or treat bags for Sayer's class, I chose the treat bags. I had so much fun shopping for goodies for 2 year old treat bags and getting Sayer's Scooby Doo cards together for his friends. Oh how I look forward to being a room mother when Sayer gets in grade school :-)

I am so thankful that I have a job that allows me to take the afternoon off to go to my son's Valentine's Day party. These are the days and memories that I never want to miss. Seeing his face when I walk in that door for his party is always priceless and although he might not remember this party, I always will!

Just as I will remember his first experience with emptying his Valentine's Day bag full of cards and goodies. We read through each and every one time and time again and every time that I would say who the card was from Sayer would get a huge smile across his face. I love it!!
