My First Real Food!
On June 2nd I tried real food for the first time. I had squash and I loved it! I looked like a baby bird and I opened my mouth really wide every time my Mommy would make an airplane noise! At the end I sure was a mess though! I wonder what Mommy will feed me next?
First Day at Daycare!
June 1st marked the first day of Sayer going to daycare. I decided that it would be a good idea to get him enrolled in a school where he could interact with other kiddos. So, he will go to school three days a week, then spend the other two days with MiMi and Aunt Karen.
I was really proud of myself that first day when I took him to school. I did a good job of holding it together until his teacher told me that I could call as many times as I needed to to check on him. That's when I lost it! It's hard to leave your baby with people you don't know!
I left work early that day to pick him up, but every day since has gotten easier and easier. And I love his teachers and his school. I know that he is well taken care of there!

Outdoor Summer Movie Series...
The weekend before Memorial Day while I was sitting around with the family, I shared an idea that I had about watching an outdoor movie. With that thought came an AWESOME production put on by none other than my dad.
You give him a challenge such as that and he is all for it. He came with a sheet to hang on the back of the house, his portable DVD player, stereo system, speakers and sub wolfer for surround sound. We had the 1st of our Outdoor Summer Movie Series at Chez Reik! It was awesome. Not only were the kiddos in total awe, but all of the adults were too!
Great job dad! I know that this is going to be a long-standing tradition!

1st Feeding in the High Chair!
What a big boy!
Sayer had his first feeding in his high chair on May 16th. He loved sitting in the chair and definitely payed better attention being fed this way. He also loved, loved, loved beating his hands on the tray and seeing how much noise he could make!
